THE MIND IS
THE BATTLEFIELD
Four chapters. Four invocations.
One descent into the human mind.
The sixth Iskald album enters a stark, Norse-inspired Helheim, tracing a path through isolation, fractured thoughts, fragile hope and sacrifice. An interconnected record, made to be experienced as a whole.

CHAPTER I — THE DESCENT
The Other Realm
The journey begins in a cold, empty expanse. Isolation takes form, and the boundary between Helheim and the inner world begins to disappear.

20 YEARS OF
NORTHERN
TWILIGHT
Melody forged in darkness.
A fire in the cold.
Formed in Sortland, Northern Norway, in 2005 by Simon Larsen and Aage Krekling, Iskald has spent two decades developing its own sound. Rooted in black metal, with melody and atmosphere at its core, the band has established its identity across six full-length albums.
Now based in Bodø and performing as a five-piece, Iskald continues to evolve. Their sixth album, Curse of the Mind, marks a new chapter — exploring the human mind through the band's first concept album and their debut release with Dusktone.
